The ITASC RECE (Reconnaissance and Communication Expedition) between 6 December 2006 - 15 February 2007 deployed the solar and wind powered GROUNDHOG Automatic Weather Station and Communications unit at 71 deg 40.433 S 002 deg 48.700 W on 2 February 2007.
